About
Sean Robinson, RPEQ (Civil)
Principal Engineer, Transformation Earthmoving. Based in Moranbah, in the heart of Queensland's Bowen Basin.
Sean Robinson brings 15 years of local government experience in civil engineering, major infrastructure delivery, project management and infrastructure advisory.
He supports local governments, resource and renewable energy proponents, contractors and engineering consultancies with practical, independent engineering advice grounded in real project delivery. Sean is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland with qualifications in civil engineering, project management and business administration.
Proven leadership. Major project experience.
As Manager Engineering Services at Isaac Regional Council, Sean led roads, transport infrastructure, parks, recreation facilities, aerodromes and major capital works programs in one of Australia's most significant resource-producing regions.
He was involved in delivering more than $60 million in disaster recovery and betterment works after Tropical Cyclone Debbie, including about $52 million in reconstruction projects.
His technical work covers development and operational works assessment, heavy vehicle haulage and road impact assessment, infrastructure agreement negotiation, regulatory compliance, and the assessment and sign-off of development conditions.
Having worked in local government, with engineering consultancies and contractors, and in Superintendent roles, Sean understands infrastructure delivery from every side: from planning, approvals and procurement through to construction, contract administration and completion.
Local knowledge. Practical solutions.
Working in a region shaped by mining, agriculture and new renewable energy investment, Sean understands how industrial development, supporting infrastructure and Council responsibilities fit together. He combines technical engineering with a practical understanding of Council operations, commercial considerations and infrastructure risk, and puts real value on productive relationships between industry and government.
The result is independent, commercially informed engineering advice that helps clients work through complex infrastructure challenges, manage risk and reach practical, lasting outcomes.
